Psicomusica

therapy for musicians looking for spontaneity

Jacob Levi Moreno

Pages: 80 - Price: € 10.00
Di Renzo Editore

An essay in the history of psychodrama and musical improvisation in which Jacob Levi Moreno lays out a very private concession of his music as an instrument of free expression and liberating. The psicomusica is to music as the psychodrama theater.
The search for Moreno illustrates the story of a case of exception: the treatment of the first violin psicomusicale Symphony Orchestra of New York, sick of a psychosomatic tremor in the arm that prevented him from tightening the bow. Moreno does not analyze the patient's unconscious but creates a series of atypical and imaginary situations in which the musician expresses himself to regain the ability and the pleasure of playing in the orchestra. A clinical case that can be seen as an extension of Jung's active musical imagination.
